About Us

This site was created primarily for the families in the Sevier County area who are currently homeschooling or would like more information. Serving Kodak, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and surrounding areas of East Tennessee.

We are the Roy Family, we currently have 5 children and have been homeschooling for the past 9 years.

I don't really consider our family large, I suppose we could be considered mid-size , compared to families that have been blessed with  6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or more children. We are often asked some really silly questions. At times it can be humorous but I think one sentence could answer most of them.

They're all ours and, yes, we homeschool them all and praise God for them all!

The Lord called us to homeschool our daughter, Tracy when she was in second grade. That journey will soon come to a bend in the road as Tracy  will be graduating from high school this year. With MUCH prayer and through our doubts, confusion and frustrations, the Lord has always been faithful.

Unless the Lord builds the house

they labor in vain who build it.

Unless the Lord guards the city,

the watchman stays awake in vain.

Psalm 127:1

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandising of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than find gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared with her.    Proverbs 3:13-15
